Can approach c10 work with r10

I have a garmin approach R10 and recently purchased the garmin approach CT10. Do I need a watch or can I use them on the garmin golf app?

    The Approach CT-10 sensors will not connect to a mobile phone through Bluetooth. The sensors require an ANT+ connection directly to a compatible device that uses GPS during golf rounds, and is designed for use during a round at an actual course.
