unable to open garmin golf app on android

have without success been able to open the garnim golf app on my samsung s23. it shows the front green screen then closes. I have uninstalled and reinstalled numerous times. Plus I have cleared data and cache.  Any ideas how to fix please

  • Try powering your S23 off and back on > Upon reboot check your running apps to see how many are running in the background as these should be closed out but if you notice a bunch running at once, check and confirm there are not a bunch of apps running at once. 

    If you still cannot operate within the Garmin Golf app past the opening page: 

    • Open your Android Settings app > Apps > Garmin Golf > Confirm location access is allowed, as well as storage and other required permissions > This Force Close and re-open the Garmin Golf app if you had to allow any permissions relevant to operating the app.
    • Check any settings related to the default web browser enabled on your smartphone to see if any VPN settings may be preventing app access to server.
    • Login to https://connect.garmin.com/en-gb through web browser > Once logged in, select the "Profile & Account" icon in the upper right section of the web page > Then select "Account Settings" > Confirm your User Settings section is filled out and save if any fields need updated. Then force close and re-open the Garmin Golf app on your phone to see if the app then re-opens, 
    • If you have travelled recently, the location settings the Play Store may need updated depending on where you have travelled to, or check to ensure your region is set correctly for your account per any changes needed (if applicable). 
    • Contact Garmin Support to discuss the concern so a specialist can further determine what other factors may be causing the issue.
