PIN Position Tracking

Hello community,

I'm using the S70 watch on a daily basis, including of course playing golf and tracking my stats.

One big pain point, besides the odd missed shot here and there, is the lack of the ability to enter the actual PIN position for your stats.

I found some very old entries (+3 years), so I'm curious if there's a hidden feature I've missed. I have heard that on some (non-golf) watches

there is a double-tap solution to track the PIN position.

Is this also possible on the S70 or will CT10 help here?

Best!

  • I can't speak to other watches, but the S70 recently had a patch and now you can mark pin location. When on green watch faces will allow you to move the pin the the hole location. It will be saved like that.

Bad news is that even though it is saving it, and you can see it post round, none of that is used to calculate any stats.

Any stats on the performance for short game, putting require the CT10 sensor on a putter. That data still is calculated the same way as before and ignores the flag position you mark.

The S70 allows you to mark putt location as well but again Garmin is not using that data for statistics. The putt marking doesn't even get displayed post round in the app or Garmin connect dashboard.
