The date format in the Garmin Golf is defaulted to the current formatting and cannot be adjusted to display differently.
The Garmin Golf app is currently set to display the dates as MM/DD/YYYY per ISO in an American standard date format per the current app design.
Well that is a pathetic response from Garmin. This is the only company, software and hardware which cannot accommodate multiple date formats. Just shows how poor Garmin really are.
Regardless of the date format being days or months listed first, they are still stored in order from most recent at the top of the list.
Can you provide any additional details from your perspective why you feel the Garmin Golf app should offer the option for the date format to have the days displayed first before the month? ...are you selecting the wrong scorecard based on the way the date is formatted? ...is there a functional reason related to the features and information displayed in the Garmin Golf app, leading you to feel the date format should be configurable?
It would help if you could provide some further reasoning on your feedback, and would be happy to forward any further information to our team for further consideration.
Again Cody - this is a really weird response.
can we agree that there are different date formats world wide. Not everyone uses the North American convention of having MM/DD/YYYY
it is an exceptionally jarring experience to see the dates incorrectly formatted - when I see 06/23/24 it doesn’t immediately register as being a date as the second number is greater than 12
it would be great if there was a user specified option to format the dates according to their preference rather than having Garmin impose their preferred formatting option.

Certainly, it is understood that there are users that would like to have the option to adjust the date format displayed in the Garmin Golf app per the format they are accustomed to using.
Garmin is currently looking further into feedback for future consideration of improvements to the Garmin Golf app, regarding options to adjust the date format in the Garmin Golf app.
Those that would like to have this option added within the Garmin Golf app are encouraged to continue posting here if they would like to see this change implemented, and I will get their feedback submitted through their accounts to the ticket under review for the request.
At least there is some recognition that the world does not revolve around the US.
Why would others want the most common date format?
Simply, when scanning a list of dates I will read them correctly. Anything with the DD and the MM below 12 leads to potential confusion. Anything with DD above 12 makes me pause whilst I remember the date is "wrong".
It is not hard to do. Every other software and app writer does it
Rather than wait for users to stumble on this remote forum thread please just do it.
In Europe, the date in the form DD.MM.YYYY is commonly used in many contexts, including here in Finland. If there is an American format used by Garmin in some device or application, there will be confusion.
Now, for example, on my Approach s42 golf watch face, the date is displayed in the format MM.DD.YYYY, and I can't change it so that it corresponds to the prevailing practice in the country. The watch face display is useless in this regard.
I could see that Garmin should add this date format change to the software and devices.
Absolutely pathetic that you cannot have dd/mm/yyyy. As posted before, the US is one of very few countries that use this format. Perhaps they are not looking for customer outside their region…
Garmin is in the process of reviewing feedback regarding the app having the option to adjust the date format.
Any potential changes or announcements in relation to the date format will be communicated as it becomes available.
We appreciate your patience in the meantime while this request is still under review.
