samsung galaxy s22 garmin golf holes blacked out

Hi, 

I'm probably doing something wrong

The scorecard holes when I'm on course are blacked out on my phone screen, when I look at the pick hole menu, the holes appear properly but when I choose the hole everything is blacked out apart from trees.

it worked fine on my samsung s20. 

is there a setting I've clicked? i've tried clearing cache and data, uninstalling and reinstalling.

any solutions?

  • My previous response above is simply to explain that there should not be any additional info displaying in the Garmin Golf app if a non-Garmin Golf app compatible device is being used for golf while using the Garmin Golf app...as devices that are compatible with syncing to the Garmin Golf app will show more info during the round through live scoring (which allows the course graphics to display). 

    My reply above is not addressing the hole graphics exampled in the photos on this thread, and is simply to advise the compatibility of the device that was mentioned.

  • Apologies.  Over reaction on my part.  I'm sure you are working hard to get this resolved.

  • Any news? More than 8 months since this post, and still no solution?

    Is it the same problem with newer Samsung phones, or is it only the s22?

  • Once the solution is available, I will post in here and Garmin will email user accounts added to the ticket for the concern that is still being investigated at this time. 

    We appreciate everyone's patience while waiting for the solution to become available for this issue. 

  •  Cody, that may be the case, but can you give timescales to this please. We can't just say after 8 months, "we're looking into a solution". It's code. It worked before and you guys broke something so the least you can do is provide some timelines here, otherwise this will just drift.

    I'm going on a golfing holiday in 3 weeks time and was hoping to use this!!!

  • Unfortunately, there is not a timeframe to provide for the fix at this time. Typically the confirmation of the solution will be communicated once the fix has been released and implemented as available to users.

    As soon as any further info towards a fix is available it will be communicated to everyone impacted by this issue, and I will get these posts updated right away. 

  • I'm the op and can confirm I upgraded to a galaxy s24 and have the same problems. Didn't realise it was 8 months since posted, I'd had issues for a couple of months prior to that too.

  • Can you be sure to notify me also please? Really frustrating bug as I'm not able to alter shots after my round. Until this is fixed the app is completely pointless...
