Garmin golf app v2.16 is very slow and crashes with my R10

Trying to get my Samsung S10 phone to show the R10 data, but working so so slow. Have to wait long long time between shots, and when looking at old data the app hangs and crashes. Works fine with my iPad. There is still 8 GB of internal Flash and 2.4 GB of RAM running Android 12 with latest Samsung update (1. mar. 2023).

    Hi @Garmin-Cody. I had tried to reply, but now I can't see the message I’ve send.

    As the heading say, I was using 2.16 of the Garmin Golf app, just updated to 2.17 today, that works much better, but still slow, lot of the time. Sometime I have to wait more than 20 sec (perhaps more) and then I hit another stroke. Sometimes I then get 2 readings at once. Another time I got a message from Android that the app had stopped working, if I wanted to stop or wait ( I waited).

    I’ve also sent the logs as requested.

     

    Any more information I can contribute with?

    Update as of February 29th, 2023: 

    This issue is currently being investigated and I will update related posts through here on forums as further information becomes available.

    Users experiencing the issue, please direct message me so I can gather logs and confirm the following information:

    • Is this issue occurring when using Home Tee Hero, or when using driving range features with the R10? 
    • When did the concern begin happening? 
    • What is your current phone model and OS?
    • Does the same issue occur with an alternate, preferably a newer model of phone(strictly for testing purposes)?
    • If you force close all other apps on your paired phone and then try using GGA, does the same issue occur?

    Hi Cody

    • The issue is occurring when using driving range features and looking at the date afterward
    • The concern started when attaching my Garmin R10 the the Garmin Golf App. I have had the GGA installed before because I thought I could use it.
    • My phone is a Samsung S10 with Android 12. One UI version 4.1. Kernelversion 4.14.113-25257816
    • I have an iPad 9th Gen without any issues, I don’t have other androids
    • I’ve just closed all other apps and rebooted the phone, and still just looking at old shoots makes the phone very slow.

    I am seeing this issue in the latest app version 2.18.1.1

    I only use Driving Range.

    It's happened from first use of the monitor.

    Galaxy A51 5G, Android

    It happens when Garmin is the only app running, and happens when paired and disconnected from the R10.
