how do i record lost ball while playing golf and take a drop

hello, I recently purchased CT10 sensors to pair with epix gen 2 to start tracking my stats while playing golf.

I immediately noticed that penalties are recorded at the end of each hole. Why?

How do I record a lost ball, ball in water, dropped ball, ball unplayable when I am actually playing golf?

Example, off the tee I hit a screaming drive into the woods and lose the ball; and decide to take a drop. I take a drop and start my 3rd shot. However, Garmin golf now thinks I hit to where I took a drop, records that distance for stat tracking and then proceeds to track the 2nd shot.

This is not how golf is scored, either stroke play or stableford.

I just forked out huge dollars for these products and its not acceptable that the stat tracking for which i purchased these products is insufficient.

Please immediately fix or advise on how i can obtain a refund so i purchase a stat tracking system which works.

  • I am not sure that any golf tracking app does that well.  The Garmin App is clearly the worst statistics tracking app going around, but for that circumstance you just need to record in the app post round that the ball was lost, and if possible assign the shot to no club or a null club used for shots you wont want distance tracked.

I would also hope you are not losing that many balls so that these incidents are making a difference :)

  • The Grint is the best statistic tracker that I have found. I would LOVE to see Garmin partner with them to make the Garmin watches the absolute best golf watch on the planet.

  • I go into the scorecard later and edit that shot as OB.
