Feature request - garmin epix gen 2 golf

I recently switched from garmin s60 to epix gen2. The tracked data at golf is very important for me.

In my opinion the epix needs a function to display the last scorecard/scorecards after the round. That's really important.

Very useful would also be a function to enter the position where the ball landed on the green.

  • The epix gen 2/Gen 2 Pro editions offer the option to add the Golf widget showing the name of the course, score +/- at a glance. Selecting the widget from the glance view will reveal a larger screen with a bunch of other information about the round. This info includes the following:

    • Date and name of the course played.
    • Amount of holes played, total strokes, over/under, and score on the front 9/back 9 separately.
    • Tapping the down button will display the amount of eagles, birdies, par holes, and bogeys.
    • Down one more will reveal the GIR % (Greens in Regulation) and the amount hit out of total holes played.
    • The next screen down will show the amount of putts taken for each hole played on your last round.
    • The last screen down will tell you how many steps were taken during the round, total distance travelled, and the time spent during the round.

If you select the widget, the screen will display additional information with the date of the round, course name, amount of holes played, strokes, over/under, score on the front 9, and the score on the back 9.

To enable the last round golf widget:

    1. Scroll down from the watch face display through the list of widget glances to the very bottom, and select the "Edit" option.
    2. Then scroll to the very bottom of the list of current widgets and select the "+Add" option.
    3. Search through the list of available widgets and select the "Golf" option to add it to your current list of glances.
    4. Then confirm the spot in the list order you would like the golf widget located.

Regarding the option to track the location of putts on the green...we do not have any announcements on whether that feature will be offered in the future...however, we will keep users posted if that feature ever becomes available at some point in the future.

  • Thank you very much for replying on my request, I appreciate it.

I know that widget and I use it frequently. As you listed above -->

    • The next screen down will show the amount of putts taken for each hole played on your last round.

Thats a pretty handy overview of the putts per hole. What I was requesting is exactly that screen but for strokes per hole. Because I am a software developer myself, I know that it only takes a few lines of code to implement such a screen. The bigger problem is to make the person responsible understand the necessity of this feature.

  • That option may be offered at some point with future enhancements or product releases, but we do not have any announcements at this time regarding strokes per hole being added as an option to the golf widget glance.
