Garmin Android App

Can I use my smart phone to do the same thing as a better golf watch than my S10? I see the app has all the features to track shots and course details. Forgive my ignorance. I'm new at this. Thanks.

The Garmin Golf app will not display any detailed course mapping or distances. A golf compatible Garmin GPS device is required to view course info during the golf round.

All information for front/middle/back distances to the green, hazards, layup distances, and scorecard info would have to be recorded directly through the Approach S10.
