golf courses failed to download in home tee hero

i tried using home tee hero for the first time but i cannot get any course to download on the app. i am using garmin golf on my android mobile device that meets the minimum requirements and the app is up to date. what do i need to do to download courses, this is the reason i purchased the r10 so i would like to get this figured out.

    Download time will depend on Your internet connection.

    Also I've seen that sometimes it takes a while without anything happening on the screen, but this does not mean that the download failed.

    Not sure for how long You wait, but give it some minutes, especially if You have a slow/modest internet connection.

    well the app says failed to download every time i try to download a course. it will show the course downloading to the right of the course name and every time its almost done downloading then it stops and on the bottom of the screen it says course failed to download.
