This guy can help Garmin App get back on track

Look at what he is doing with Garmin Data. This guy, Mark Overmars, makes a very good program based on Garmin Golf Data, and I bet he could help Garmin Golf App work fine again and even better.

  • Yep.

Garmin, with all it's resources, have not been able to do anything like this in years.

He had the first version online in weeks.

I think Garmin also could do this, but they don't prioritize it.

Which is why users with skills make these programs.

Mark Overmars with a full blown analyze tool for range sessions, others with GSPro integration, first via mobile and now directly, and also now putting in GSPro.

In my honest opinion Garmin is focusing on "improvements" nobody has asked for, and "monitoring", for years, features we want.

In the approx 9 months I have owned the R10 only three user requested features have been added. 4 if I'm kind. And all 3 could easily been done better. These 3 are:

    - Export of data. Nice. Allowed Overmars and users to post analyze sessions. Swing speed still missing. Why?

    - Landscape mode. Worked fine until Garmin decided to change it and break it.

    - Adding clubs. Finally works for S62 watces as well, but no approach wedge. And probably will not come.

    - Altitude and climate setting. Probably helped a lot for some, but why not the possibility to save the settings, or make them club independant?

In addition, Garmin has added RCT balls detection. How many of the users are actually using them? I'm not saying it's a bad thing, and in time probably more useful, but there are so many things Garmin could have done instead if resources is the issue.
