New to Garmin R10 , haven't subscribed to any apps so I just have driving range. How do I get the 4.3 or newest updates? How to kno if I have the updates more current than the 2.1.?

 Haven't decided on subscription apps, so, I only have driving range. How do I get or do I need the 4.3 or newest updates? How to kno if I, infact, already have the updates more current than the 2.1?

    You should download Garmin Express to a windows PC and install it.

    This is the only way to update Your R10 firmware. Garmin Express will detect installed firmware on Your R10 unit, and update it if newer version is available.

    2.1 is not related to Your R10 unit.

    This is the app version You install on Your mobile, Garmin Golf app, and this will normally update itself automatically. Provided You have internet connection on Your mobile, and automatic updates of apps is turned on.

    Latest version of the app will vary depending on if You have IOS or Android, and basically impossible to tell which is the latest version.

    If You open the Garmin golf app and go into the menu and then settings, the Version of the app will be displayed there.

    Latest for Android (I believe), is 2.11.3
