Deleting Shots From Range Session

I have the Garmin Golf App 2.9.1 version loaded on my Samsung Galaxy A20 phone on Android 11. I cannot delete shots from a golf sim session. I press the red "Edit" option on the shot list heading, enter a check mark in the box next to each shot I want to delete, press the black "DELETE" option at the bottom of the screen (the shots I wanted to delete are now gone), press the black "Save" option on the top of the screen, press the "DELETE" option in the Delete Shots? box that appears, and I see that the shots I deleted have reappeared in the golf sim session.

  • If I view the shot I want to delete there is a garbage bin there.

That works for me at least.

That being said, Your method also works for me.

And when checking more something got screwed up in the process..

The list of strokes will suddenly not match on main screen and list screen: https://prnt.sc/JJ4MMzF8kLTp

  • I never noticed the trash can on the individual shots. I did try that but the delete of the shot failed  ( same thing - appeared to delete the shot, but the shot reappeared). I tried clearing the cache, but that did not help. I decided to uninstall the app and reinstall it. Now I can delete the individual shots using both methods, BUT I lost the sessions from the last couple of days. I see the older sessions though.

  • Now that I can delete shots, I checked the individual shots from the main screen to see if I have the same issue that you see. Mine all seem to match up OK though.

  • I think You may need to sync something.

I tested by starting garmin golf on my phone after deleting shots on my tablet.

The shots are deleted on my tablet, but still there on my phone.

Eventually I think it will fix itself.

The other problem I see when wrong club shots are being displayed I believe is related to the new upgrade with more clubs.

My 7 wood is changed from a 5 wood, and it appears on the wrong place in club list, and also is causing issues on previous rounds where all clubs seems to be shifted.

More work to be done here Slight smile

  • Well, I finished a short range session today & I'm back to not being able to delete shots from today's session or older sessions.  Very strange & I will not go through the process on uninstalling & reinstalling the Garmin Golf App (which corrected the problem yesterday) again.

  • Weeelll, now I see what is happening. Apparently when I have WI-FI turned off on my phone, I cannot delete shots BUT when I have WI-FI turned on, I can delete shots.  Where are the Golf Sim Sessions stored ?  If they are on my phone storage, I don't see why I need to have WI-FI turned on.  If they are stored in a Garmin cloud, then I can see why I have to have WI-FI turned on.

  • Ah, that explains it.

It's uploaded and stored somewhere in Garmin cloud when You close session.

Retrieving and analyzing sessions later is a 1980 process which You can read more on in the R10 forum. Search for R10 Analytics for more info.

When it comes to my issue the shift in clubs will only appear if You use one of the new clubs possible in the 2.9 update.

I use 7 wood which is not coming after the 5 wood in the list, but after my putter. And this apparently confuses the club order. They are looking into this.
