Club Performance - max club distances

In Club performance it dispays the Average and Maximum distances for each club.   However most of the Maximum distances are crazy numbers,  eg my Sand Wedge is 229metres... I maybe  good, but thats more than double whats possible,   most clubs are the same

As for Driver,    its maximum is 338metres,    but in performance stats the Lifetime longest drive is 284 metres,   so how could that be?

and how does one go about correcting these silly anomalies.

  • A couple of years I have the same issue. My maximum putter distance is 324 metres :-)
I havent found a proper solution but you can delete all your clubs in the Garmin Connect App and also on your watch. Then insert them again but with a different nick name. This will set all the numbers to 0 but in my situation after a few rounds again the maximum distance is completely off again.

Some suggested that somewhere in the rounds a shot has been mssed so numbers are wrong but I checked them all and couldnt find one.

I use only the averages and they seems fine but the max shots are just anoying

  • Same problem happened to me. Being able to see 1st quarter, median, and 3rd quarter would be very helpful with max data as well!

  • This happens because your watch hasn't checked that you finished one hole and went to the next. Looking in the Garmin Golf App / Scorecards you can check each hole and you will see a long white line from previous hole to the new hole and the app/watch assume you have continued to the next hole. Easily fixed in the Garmin Golf app by yourself.

  • That is in my case not the problem, after each hole I insert the number of strokes and the number of putts so the hole is ended then. After each round I check if there are abnormal distances and if the watch missed a stroke I manually insert it. If I look at the Garmin golf app I cant see one single hole that isnt finished.

In januar this year I started all "clean" again, watch a factury reset, Garmin deleted my account totally, deleted Garmin Express, Garmin Connect and Garmin Golf.
Then installed all as new again and a few rounds it went well but after a round of 5 it started again to give abnormal distances.
So I have given up :-( ......... averages are fine but max distances are faulty.

  • You say easily fixed in golf app....Please elaborate because I cannot find any easy way to find that abhorrent shot short of searching through every hole of every game played to find that shot. Is there a way to go straight to that shot from the club stats page?
