The vivoactive 3 does not have pre-installed golf courses. You have to download them in Garmin Connect app on your phone. When you start the golf activity on your golf course the course data will be downloaded from the phone to your vivoactive 3.
I have a similar issue. I've loaded 25 courses through Garmin Connect but when I start the golf app on my vivoactive 3 only three courses show up, none of which are the course I'm on. I thought when the watch is searching satellites it would pick up the one I'm on (as long as it has been downloaded). That's not happening. Is there something I'm not doing which would correct this?
