As of today, MapShare web page update eventually stops shows tracks and requires an browser refresh to show current tracks.
This is a pain because a refresh zooms out, forcing one to have to re-zoom in when tracking.

The problem appears to happen only on Chrome. It works fine on Safari. Both on a Mac
MapShare pages are meant for a periodic check on the user, and not meant to be left open indefinitely. With that in mind, the error "Lost Connection to Server. Retrying" may appear if the page is unable to update automatically. If this occurs, refresh the page manually through the browser to show the most recent data. Okay, but until recently it worked great and it works on some browsers and not others so I have to assume something broke.
Yes, I see lost connection often but in the past it always recovered fine.
My goal here is to let you know that some changed that has made the user experience worse.
It just lost the track on Safari; just took a LOT longer than on Chrome.
We may be misunderstanding each other. The issue is not with refreshing the tracking, the issue is that the tracking completely disappears.
This response makes no sense. The web client script is simply fetching the latest tracking data. If it can do it once, it can do it indefinitely.
And, it used to work!
