Creating courses

Garmin should either completely overhaul or eliminate the course creation process in explore. 

Not Only is it an absolute joke but I’ve complained about its inadequacies in the forum and the moderators just said ya it does that sometimes. 

Like, “oh well. Guess you just have to deal with it. I’ve given up on trying to create courses in explore and am searching for alternate tools. Just spent 10 minutes trying to create a course on a o paved bike trail and the points I select jump all over the place and loop around other streets for no reason. And when I thought I was done the mileage was not even close.

I have seriously never been successful creating a course with explore.

    Are there vids on how to create courses in Connect? I'm only trying to create courses so I can see how far the route is. Wanting to increase the distance on my bike rides and experimenting w finding a good 25-30 mile ride.

    I gave up on courses also for that reason and also because in the western USA state that I live in, the maps are horribly inaccurate as far as wilderness trails anyway. Spend more time fiddling with them than if I use routes by just manually "roughing it in" and then zoom in and correct the route as needed. That being said, I have yet to see any mapping software that correctly maps western wilderness trails.
