I recently acquired a second-hand Garmin inReach Explorer+ and have been using it to track my hikes for a few weeks. I have noticed the elevation data for any waypoints I create along the way does not accompany the rest of the waypoint details when I connect the device to the laptop I used to access the Garmin Explore website and the inReach Sync software. I realise I can manually edit the newly created waypoints and add the elevation for each waypoint, but it seems odd that the coordinates (I use UTM eastings and northings) transfer OK but the associated elevation data does not? Is there a software fix for this, and if there is no fix available is there likely to be one at some stage?
