Utterly frustrated. How do you get a course or track or route or whatever they call an imported gpx to show on map share page so friends can follow your progress along what I call a route?

I lobe the Garmin edge cycle computers with Tide with GPS route planning. But now I’ve also got a GPS map67i and in a whole world of painSmirk

  • I would suggest working off the Explore web page, not the app, because the webpage has filters which you may have inadvertently setup.

Ensure the trip shows up on your web Map page, before addressing Mapshare.

Under the Map tab on Explore web, see if the route/track appears on the. map. If not, have you synched the trip to the website? It needs to be synched.  If that doesn't solve problem, look at the Library and see if any filters are set (top of Library). Remove any filter. See if any eye icons associated with the Library have a line through them. If so click the icon to remove the line. The eye means to allow visibility or not (line through it).

Hopefully, you have the trip on your web Map page and Mapshare also shows the trip. If not, go to the Social tab and then select the button, "Filter Mapshare Data". If there's a date in first box of pop up, it may be filtering out data prior to that date. Clear it or change to a more recent date. In the second half of pop up, ensure you have the intended collection selected.

    Try Mapshare again...it should work.

  • Thanks. I’ve established that the route shows on the web.And when I share that page and open it on the pc the route shows. So I know that is all working fine. It’s just when I open the link on my phone it does not show.

looking back through the forum seems like this is a known issue.

At least I understand the issues now.

    cheers

  • Ok, it works on my phone, so it's not a universal issue.

You could try deleting the app and then downloading it again, followed by a re-synch. A bit of a hassle, though.

    Cheers!

  • We do have a report of it not being viewed when looking at MapShare on an iPhone. I am going to send you a private message to gather some additional details and add you to the case we are tracking and working on for this issue.

  • Just a shot in the dark here but on my android phone in mapshare there is a small i (for info)in lower right corner of the screen. I have to click on that and scroll to the bottom and choose "view desktop version" to get some items to show up in mapshare. The library in mapshare has its own "eye" icons for hiding and unhiding items, and it appears to work separately from the apps library.
