Explore Website Not Displaying Waypoint Locations and Tracks

I have started to use the Garmin Explore website but it seems absolutely useless.

I have four waypoints that have synced to the explore web account.  When I click on a waypoint, a map is opened where the waypoint "should" be but no Flag is shown...just a map of an area.

I have tried all of the different map layers, but can't get the data to appear.

I have selected "Clear All Filters" but still can't get things to appear.

The same thing happens with Courses.  However, I am able to see tracks.

Is there some setting that I am not aware of that needs to be selected to actually display waypoints and courses from my library on the maps when they are selected?

  • Waypoints are showing, but no tracks. I've yet to create a new route or tracks and see how that fares.

  • Ok, same version of Chrome as I was using (until I checked, then it updated to a 104 version)...

Wait, initially, you said waypoints weren't showing...so you're saying they weren't showing but now they are, or they've always shown and it's strictly a tracks display problem only, or what?

A window snapshot image showing the problem might still help.  I saw rumors of collection corruption issues in rare cases but I think that's still unlikely.

Oops...@jdosher, sorry.  I meant to be replying to OP.  But if you pasted a screenshot of the track display problem it indeed may help highlight the issue.  I have very, very few "tracks", as all my devices create "Activities" to sync...I have exactly two tracks that I created months ago (InReach Mini 2 track points @ $0.10/pt for initial testing) - they still dutifully show when I clear filters and click on them.

  • Oh yeah, waypoints are showing (and were showing), just not tracks. Note, the tracks show on my Zumo XT, but not on the explorer webpage.

  • Ah, Zumo XT looks a bit more complicated.  According to a Garmin Support site page (https://support.garmin.com/en-US/?faq=W54dKpjXCr1FHitmCIRtc9), Zumo XT doesn't pair directly to the Explore app, but requires Google Drive?  According to other Garmin Support info, Zumo XT will indeed sync tracks to the Explore app which should then sync out to the site.  Is Explore app sync working for you, just not to the Explore website?  In any case, you should create a different post, I'd say on the Zumo XT forum...and maybe contact Garmin Support directly.

  • Same problem here. Just started using the website and imported waypoints show in the library list but don't show on the map. They do show as expected on my iPad and iPhone in the app. This makes the web version useless for me.

EDIT: I just toggled the view eye at the library level from on to off to on and the waypoints appeared.

  • I had same issue. using Explore Map in PC running chrome browser: Tracks would show on the map, waypoints in the collections would not. Cleared cookies, closed and restarted Chrome, logged into explore.garmin.com again. Clicked eye to remove the slash mark. Waypoints show on map. Yea!
