Garmin Explore - unable to delete Collection

I am able to click on the trashcan/delete icon and get the warning that data such as waypoints will not be deleted with the Collection is deleted. I then click "Delete Collection" but then nothing happens and the Collection stays without being deleted. Also, I am unable to delete tracks because there is no trashcan icon. I have attempted this in Chrome, Chrome Private, and Edge. Same results. I appreciate any help. Thanks

  • I can't help directly. I added a collection to my webpage and it deleted fine.  It didn't contain any data (tracks, waypoints, etc.) though. I don't have a trashcan icon in my tracks either.

Generally, when one part of the system (device, app, website) doesn't function as anticipated, I try to achieve my goal by going to another part of the system. So you might want to try your "deletes" using your device or app.

  • Same here (Delete button does nothing), except the Trash icon never appears.

  • I have similar issue. I can't delete routes and the trash icon doesn't even appear for the tracks.

  • Solved (workaround discovered) - I was not able to solve the problem on the Explore website. I don't have any devices that are compatible with the Explore App, but I downloaded the iphone Explore app and logged into my account through the app. From there, I was able to delete Collections and Routes. The delete then synced to the Explore website and removed them from there.

  • Congrats. That's the sort of creativity needed at times within the Garmin ecosystem.

  • I tried the same, but my tracks don't appear in the Explore App.

  • I am also missing the trashcan icon so I'm unable to delete old tracks on the explore.garmin.com map...

  • OK, I tried this too. By this method, namely loging into the account with the explore app even there is no compatible device existing, one can delete empty collections.

This seems to be the only way to delete collections on a personal account with 'legacy' device as Mini(1)

To delete tracks is simply not possible at all, there is no control for it on the website and they do not appear in the explore app so they will remain on the website for ever.

I can not understand that company like Garmin can employ people who are able to produce such a junk and still asking for money.

  • I also can't delete my tracks on the website, and the tracks don't appear on the android app.  ARG!

  • This is exactly what I'm experiencing. Added a couple of tracks for my trip to Austria, now that I'm back I can't delete them. Same story with the app: doesn't show any tracks at all. I hope this gets fixed soon...
