Importing waypoints without tracks for fenix 6

I';m a newbie to the Garmin ecosystem, recently purchased Fenix 6x Pro Solar (long time Suunto user now converting to Garmin after trying new Suunto 9 - very disappointing!). I have a KMZ file with a number of waypoints defined within. I only want to import "waypoints" but the import wizard in Explore asks if I want "tracks" or "courses". Regardless of which one I pick, I get an error that I have "too many tracks/courses".

Again, I am a newbie - any help would be appreciated to get me moving forward.

Hello Rejamer,

Do you know how many waypoints you have in your kmz?

You might want to convert your kmz file into a gpu file using GPSVISUALIZER , then import the gpxfile as a track.

Maybe waypoints on Sunnto an waypoints on Garmin have different meanings.
