Losing data when adding GPX

I am trying to import gpx files with hikings that I have done and I have them stored in Basecamp (development being stopped) and I am losing data such as elevation speed and so on. I have tried to export the same hike from Connect with same result. How can I have a nice view of the routes done in Explore and migrate from a pc based software to the cloud based solution?

When you import your Hinkings in connect or BaseCamp, you import probably a Fit file. When you export from BaseCamp or Connect, you export in GPX format and you loose fitness type data not supported by GPX file.
  • I've got the same problem. I exported a track in .gpx from basecamp an imported it into Explore. Unfortunately the elevation data, the time, the date and the speed information got lost. This type of data should be supported by .gpx.

Until now I was using basecamp to plan, sort and store my bigger hiking or backcountry skiing trips. Garmin connect I used to store my daily sport activities (running, etc.). I hope Explore is going to become a good replacement for basecamp. An hopefully somehow I'll be able to import my basecamp library to explore...

edit: by the way in the explore mobile app there is an elevation graph. But it's pulling the information from the map data...
