MapShare with a Fenix 5 Plus

I know it's currently in Beta and probably not 100% finished, but how is the MapShare feature supposed to work? Will it occasionally make my Fenix acquire a GPS fix and show my location on the map? Or does it only update when I'm in a (specific?) activity? Is LiveTrack needed to be enabled?

Basically: How do I get my location onto the MapShare map?

I tried grouptrack. Live track as well as trying to get garmin explore app turned on but somehow, my position doesn’t change or gets updated into the mapshare.

Im not sure what will be the item to make it all work.
Badically im thinking the app is supposed to give others a view of the track/route I’ll be racing on and then the corresponding position that I am in st that very moment along the track.

Livertrack only shows where I have gone in terms of tracks.
