Long story short,
After using the Garmin explore app on IOS, for some time in one single session, this suddenly happens.
And no - this is absolutely not how the roads in this area look like!
Facts
The app seems to "hallucinate", adding wild amounts of stuff that is not there in real life. The hallucinations (roads) differ slightly or wildly from time to time when I`m interacting with the map.
The issue seems to get worse over time, while drifting around in different areas. It seems only to happen in my general area (a large area tho). I did not seem to get this issue going, when I zoomed in on another country. This issue happens at a detailed zoom level, and the issue is not visible when zooming far out to the "basic" area maps.
What I tried to resolve it
I have not been able to replicate the issue, but here are some things I`ve done that doesn't help.
- Zooming out, then in again, does not solve the problem.
- Moving the map to a whole another country, then going back again, does not solve the problem.
- Exiting the app, and also force quitting the app, before opening it again - does not help.
- Rebooting the device (iPhone) did not help, aka the problem survives reboot.
No fix as of now.
This renders my Garmin explore app useless in conjunction with my Garmin device from now on.
Have anybody experienced this, and what may be a fix?
