What maps/map layers do you have enabled when creating this course? What are the exact steps, step-by-step, that we can take to reproduce the issue? Does this occur with all courses that your create or only with courses in a particular area?
no matter which and how many layers, the bug is always there and it is reproducable. Take Topo or Topo pro, creating a course, after 2nd point already the route does not follow exactly the way and makes a double line. Funny, when pushing the remove button to delete last point, the distance gets longer.

after uninstalling, reinstalling and restarting the phone, the problem seemed to be gone. But it came back soon. I thought you would be product support. Anyhow, my solution is not to use Garmin Explore for plannig courses.
First point went fine following the trail .
