iPhone GPX to Garmin as a route

On my iPhone I have downloaded gpx files in an iCloud folder. How do I transfer the file to my Garmin 65s, so it can be used as a route.

    You need to go to the Files app on your iPhone, select the GPX file, press the Share icon and then select the Explore app (it may be under the More button). This will import the GPX into the Explore app, from which you can sync it to your GPSMAP 65s.

    Thank you for your reply. 
    I do all that, but it loads the gps file into the Explorer app as a track and not a route.

    It depends on what the GPX file contains. If it contains a track, Explore will import it as a Track. If it contains a route, Explore will import it as a Course. Explore does not support Routes.

    Is there any specific reason why you want to use a route?
