If you place the last point of the course, then hold and drag it on top of the start point, the start and end connect and become a single point.

Actually the typo was mine and I edited my post “not” should have been “now”.
I’m trying to understand how to make a loop route - with the new feature.
Good question, I haven’t found out how to create circular courses either.
Garmin-Chris maybe you can shed some light on this?

Thank-you for the reply Chris.
Although, I believe I was already doing this…
How is it different from before?
I was expecting something that would auto complete if you selected an option for a loop route similar to other apps out there.
Circular Course Feature – where is it hiding?
Hi Garmin Team,
I read in the changelogs (4.2 and again 4.3) that the Circular Course feature is now available in Garmin Explore. But I’ve tried everything – tapping, holding, setting waypoints, even re-installing the app – and I still don’t see any option to create a circular route.
The app is updated, set to English, and I’m online. When I long-press a point on the map, I only get a zoom box – no menu or routing options.
Can someone explain this feature to me as if I were a Golden Retriever? Like: step by step, with treats in between.
Thanks a lot!
Hi Garmin-Chris,
thanks for your message – but could you please take a look at the two replies you received? It seems that the Circular Course feature still isn’t working for all users, even with version 4.3.1. We’ve tried the long-press method and dragging the endpoint to the start, but the feature simply doesn’t show up.
Also, I noticed your post was liked – which makes me wonder: does it actually work for some users? If so, could you please explain what exactly triggers it, or whether it’s limited to certain regions, account types, or devices?
Any further clarification would be greatly appreciated!

While the 4.2 update release notes suggested that circular courses are a brand-new feature, they have actually been available in previous versions.
With the update, we’ve made improvements to how Circular Courses function, enhancing their performance and usability.
