Missing activities in Garmin Explore after phone change

Hi everyone,

I recently changed my phone (from 11PM to 16P) and reinstalled the Garmin Explore app. However, after logging in, all my past activities are missing.

  • My activities are still visible in Garmin Connect, but they are not showing up in Garmin Explore.
  • The “Sync all” option is enabled in sync settings in Garmin Explore.
  • I forced a manual sync multiple times, but nothing appears.
  • I am logged into the same Garmin account as before.
  • I checked the Garmin Explore website, but my activities are not there either.
  • I tried reinstalling the app and logging in again, but it didn’t help.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? Is there a way to force Garmin Explore to sync my past activities from the cloud?

  • Note that Garmin Explore and Connect are two different ecosystems, and items do not automatically sync between them. Activities will get uploaded to the ecosystem your Garmin device is connected to, to Connect via the Garmin Connect app and to Explore via the Explore app.

    Normally switching phones or reinstalling the Explore app should keep your existing activities. Does your watch show your past activities? Or are they missing there as well? If they are still on the watch, they should sync with Explore app to Explore web.

    If that doesn't happen it's best to contact Garmin support. There have been a lot of issues with Explore web performance the last couple of months, and Garmin has been temporarily switching off the loading of activities in Explore web to try to improve performance. It might be related to the issue you're having, but only Garmin can tell for sure.
