the sorting by distance of waypoints and other elements in the saved section is always from the actual location. IMO this is an error and should be from the map section. If I wish to see the distance from my location, I still can push the button for my location. My other map app shows the distance from the map section.
When creating a new collection, adding items, you can see all waypoints, or choose waypoints from existing collections, I have 1800 waypoints in Garmin Explore. It is not convenient to scroll down and choose the desired waypoints for a new collection, even not when using the batch function. If the sorting by distance would use the map section, creating a new collection would be much easier. Otherwise I have to wait with a collection for a vacation, till I reach the vacation spot :(
