How can I export a course from Garmin Explore to Garmin Connect including Course Points for use on Garmin Edge?

Garmin Connect and Garmin Edge now support Course Points. Is there a way to export a course from Garmin Explore to Garmin Connect including Course Points for use on Garmin Edge?

I tried, but it seems like not possible. When using the export function from GE to GC, the course has no course points.

I don't know if course points are supported, but you can export a course from Garmin Explore for import into Garmin Connect in the following way:

On Garmin Explore (mobile):

Create a course
Under Saved, click the triple dot menu of the created course
Click Share, which will allow you to share a GPX file of the course
Send the GPX file to yourself, or directly save the GPX file onto your device

On Garmin Connect (browser):

Go to Courses
Click Import
Import the GPX file exported from Garmin Explore

GPX file format doesn’t support course points (up ahead). Only waypoints.

Would be great if GE were able to export as .fit or .tcx that supports course points.
