Navigation button disapears

Can you post a screenshot of what you see? I tried what you described but I see both buttons on the screen (the button with the location icon and the plus button). For me the plus button is always a bit larger than the location button.

when you freshly open the app and tap on the map, you see both buttons, navigation and marking (left picture). Switch of the phone and open it, or put the app in the background and go back to it. then you see only one large marking button (right picture).

Do you have a Garmin device connected via Bluetooth? And maybe after re-opening the app the device is not connected anymore?

I switched off the watch and get only the marking button. So then probably the navigation button disappears because of lost connection. But how can I prevent it?

I get the same issue and it is repeatable every time the Explore app is put into the background.

Attempts I have made to overcome include;

• switching to devices, manually syncing
• closing Connect, in case it is monopolising the Bluetooth channel,
• waiting a loooong time, >15 minutes, in case it reconnected
• choosing different map points

it does not seem to drop the Bluetooth connection if you actually start navigating, then background the app and the re-use it.
