View one single activity on the map

This has been an issue also with the older app, but it still is with the new app:

You can select, which collections you want to display on your map. This works fine.

However, I have all my activities of my watch being written to a collection called "watch". If I enable this collection in the explore app, I will see ALL activities I ever recorded. There's no way to narrow this down, e.g. by date or by selecting just single activities.

If I unselect the collection "watch" and try to view just the most recent activity by selecting "view on map", there's nothing on the map. In order to see my latest activity, I would have to activate the entire collection, hence showing ALL activities.

Is there an easy workaround to just temporarily see the selected activity but not the entire collection? Or is it really all or nothing?

It’s all or nothing, there’s indeed no way to hide or show individual items.

As a workaround you could create a new collection and add the item you want to view. Then hide all collections except this one. A bit convoluted though, a simple show/hide toggle on each item in your library would be much easier.
