I want to export tracks from one user account to another on my Mac but the GPX file comes out all diiferent with additionat lines and distances what am I doing wrong?

Hello 

I recently completed a trip using a friends In Reach Mini 2 and I want to import the tracks into my own Explore account but this is proving to be very difficult. I upload the tracks to my computer and then when I try to download them to my Explore account they appear very different than the originals, there are 3 files instead of one and many extra lines. what am I doing wrong? 

edit The app freezes up mopst of the time as well

    For future reference, it is possible to have data from a borrowed inReach Mini 2 sync directly to your Garmin Explore account by using the Guest Device feature of the Garmin Explore app. Garmin Explore App Guest Device

    What are the exact steps you are taking to export the GPX file from your friend's account? What are the exact steps you are taking to import the GPX file into your account?
