Ascent Data does not match Ascent from connect

How does the Total Ascent change when you open the activity in Garmin Connect Web and enable the Elevation Corrections?

... also, if you want to see the same Total Ascent (aka Elevation Gain, or Climbing Elevation) as at the activity, tap at the Elevation button under the map of the activity screen, in Garmin Explore, and select the "Activity Elevation" as the data source.

It shows the same on both options…

At the last activity I tested the Activity Elevation in Explorer was identical to the one in Garmin Connect, but now I looked at some older ones, and the Activity Elevation in GE is indeed often a lot higher than in GC. And that's both for the original total ascent taken by the barometric altimeter, as well as for the total ascent after having applied the Elevation Corrections. So it looks like there is indeed a problem in the way Garmin Explore calculates the elevation gain. Let's hope Garmin-Leslie will forward the report to the Explore developer team.

I’ve always knew that usually when looking at corrected elevations would result on way bigger numbers. No mather if on Google Earth, Strava, GC etc but never expected that on device’s ones.

As I’ve said I decided not to do some courses due the wrong info GE gave me. What a shame …

Took a look at some of my activities, and I indeed see the same issue. The Ascent as determined by the my GPSMAP 67 and Connect show the same value, but when I look at the same activity in Garmin Explore iOS App, the Ascent reported there is different. Both higher and lower, by the way.
