Is there a way to construct a link to specific lat/long gps coordinates that will open the map in the Explore app?

I want to send a location to a person who has the Explore App. Is there a way to send the location as a link that will open the Explore App with a pin or other indication of the specific position?

No, you can send a waypoint saved in Explore directly as a GPX file (function "share"). For example as an email. The recipient can import the GPX into Explore. This is very simple.

If necessary, you can even send all waypoints together. Or a complete collection. Or courses. This way I regularly back up my collections to the cloud.

I don't know that the Explore app provides that flexibility. You could send the location (I assume you mean GPS coordinates) to the person by text or email, and the person could add a waypoint on the Explore App with those coordinates.
