Explore iOS exporting empty routes

Although I can successfully draw and save a route in the explore iOS app, when I sync the route to my Instinct watch, the route shows up as an empty course - distance is zero and the course has no points defined.

This doesn’t seem to be affecting waypoints. I can create waypoints in the explore app and successfully sync those to my instinct watch.

any thoughts?

I'm also seeing that routes drawn in the Mac OS version of explore.garmin.com are not showing up correctly in the PC version of explore.garmin.com. The routes drawn in MacOS are listed in the PC version, but when I click to view them on the map, the map is blank.

Seems like something is really screwing up how routes are encoded in the explore app on various platforms.
