Create gpx track in garmin explore

Is it possible to make a gpx track instead of a route in garmin explore? If so, how then...I always seem to end up with routes...

  • You can import GPX files containing Tracks into Explore App, but you cannot create Tracks directly in the app -- only routes.

As a workaround, you can create it as a Route in Explore App, then go to the Map on explore.garmin.com and convert the Route to a Track. Then, when you sync the app, you'll have the route as a track.

  • Thanks for your reply... in many situations I don’t have internet while hiking... in my opinion this is a big mis for hikers who are using a gps... they don’t use routes but specific tracks ... is there a chance this feature will be added to explore ?  I also think that a basecamp alternative for ipad would be big succes... explore could evolve in this way if you add extra features to it... just saying :-)

  • I recommend using another app for tracks.
    footpath is my favourite.

    you can export into explorer
