Unable to sync training route made in Garmin Connect to handheld Garmin66st.

I created a new training route using the Garmin Connect web site. The route transferred without issues to my IPhone8. When I try and sync the route to my handheld (Garmin66st), I get a message stating “Device not Compatible .” I’ve tried Bluetooth, WiFi, and Computer with USB cable. Software is current on both devices. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks...

It is true that Garmin Connect Courses are not compatible with the GPSMAP 66-series devices sent directly from Garmin Connect App. However, since the GPSMAP 66st is compatible with Garmin Explore App, you can either create your route directly in the Explore App, or, you can create the Course in Garmin Connect as you did, then export it as a GPX file, then import it into either the Garmin Explore Website or Explore App, which will then sync to the GPSMAP 66st.

To export the Course from Garmin Connect website, pull up the Course then click the three dots in the lower-right corner, select Download GPX.
