offline map viewing

This is the third time this has happened to me. After downloading the offline map, when I arrive in an area without data coverage or am in airplane mode to save battery life, I try to view the map and I can't see anything trail. What could be causing this problem? Perhaps I downloaded too large an area?

I may be having the same problem. I had downloaded an area - pretty much to the size limit before it says to zoom in as the area is too large. When I get to the location, it tries to download the area I am in and trails are not visible, just main roads.

I may be wrong but is my initial download only at a large scale resolution and when I want to zoom in to trail and POI level, it needs more data?

I noticed that when you log in to your profile and select "Map Settings," there's an "Offline Maps Only" option. However, this option gets disabled every time you exit the app.
