Hide base layer map on Android Explore maps?

On the android app the base layer has some huge glaring errors (does not show on web or GPSMAP 67i versions) such as roads that don't exist. (already reported).

There doesn't seem to be a way to turn off the base layer though.

Can it be done?

I noticed this as well. But the roads do exist, it's just super low polygon versions of the actual roads, so they appear to go through mountains and stuff like that..

For me, the solution was quite simple: switch from topo maps to base layer map and back to topo. This made the additional low polygon highway disappear.
