I am searching how to save offline maps to ext storage (sd card) with android 9, 10, 11

is this really so exotic question ?
The Garmin Explore app does not support downloading offline maps to an SD card or retrieving offline maps from an SD card.
tis is not nice, this needs to be implemented the same way as it was in earthmate etc
the usefullness on just slightly older phones is extremely degraded
simply: to store the maps on the sd card
I have bunch of android devices, but simply no space on any of them to place the map on. Space on a mobile device is limited, this is why it is possible to extend it by sd cards
Or do you have any idea where to store maps?
so if there is question why? the answer would be why not?
Sorry, I was answering Garmin-Chris reply. I have the same issue as you. I'm using an older phone mounted on my motorcycle as a GPS that I don't mind if it falls off and break but it only have 8GB internal memory but have an SD card slot. I don't see any reasons why the Garmin Explore app wouldn't be able to store the downloaded maps on the SD card. Downloaded maps with satellite images can be quite big.
So in this context: "Why not?"
there is possibly a ticket open for the devs to implement this, it could be in some next updates it will come
