Explore app paints display with TT15 History Frequently

I have an Alpha 10 and dog collar which I think is a TT15. My dog roams around a lot so I set the app to keep track of only the last few minutes of activity.

Quit frequently (every few minutes) the Explore app displays what as near as I can tell is the history of the dog's track for several days at least. Sometimes it also (or alternatively) do the same for the Alpha 10s location. When this happens it is hard to find either the dog or the Alpha 10 on the map because the map is full of colour.

Usually the display reverts within a short time but sometimes I have to touch "Map" and then it displays properly.

I have tried reinstalling the app, clearing cache and memory, etc..

How do I stop this from happening?

  • I can't figure out how to edit my post but I thought I would add a screen shot of what happens

A few seconds later it went back to normal. Note that I do not have any saved tracks. For some reason having saved tracks causes a similar thing.

  • With the Alpha 10 and TT15, it's preferred to use the Garmin Alpha app rather than the Garmin Explore app. If you need assistance with this, please reach out to Product Support

  • Thanks for the reply. I was not aware of the Alpha app and have downloaded it. It is a pity it does not seem to allow downloading satellite imagery as this is very useful

  • Alas, the Alpha app has substantially the same behaviour. The attached screen shot shows a day's activity, despite having clicked Clear All Tracks and clear cache several time

The Alpha and Explore apps, as well as the Alpha software, are all the latest versions
