Direct routing not work as intented

When I create a course in app, after selecting direct routing, the course should be a straight line linked two waypoint and sync as route, however it is still be snapped as a course or track. 

I am using explorer 4.1.

    What are the exact steps you are taking to create the course? Does the icon at the bottom of the screen (to the right of the Routing Type) show direct routing in gray with a slash through the icon?

    My fault. I figured the logic now.

    Originally I created the starting waypoint and the ending waypoint first, then select "direct routing" in option. I thought the app would change it to a straight-lined route. 

    The correct way is to first select direct routing in option before creating any waypoints.
