No. What you have sent indicates, a solution is to go to a + button. The app + button for an Extrx SE does not have this function.

there is a setting "Prefer Device Location". Does changing this setting change the behaviour?
No still will not show the speed. So it appears this software has a bug when connected to an Etrex SE unit
