Why doesn't Garmin use Google maps for the Explore app. The imaging they use is 16 years old !!

Because it is an offline app an Google Maps only work online.

But I agree about the problem with the ridiculously outdated map material. Sadly, Garmin doesn't care

Maybe if we get enough people talking to Garmin they might just care a little enough to FIX THE ISSUE that we all complain about

I suggest writing an email to [email protected] and/or [email protected] . Maybe also submit it as an idea at

(i did both already).

Maybe also tagging or writing Garmin-Leslie helps...
