Notifications of upcoming turns

Explore does not add turn notifications to the courses unfortunately. There is no way of fixing this except using another software to plan your courses. You can submit this feature as an idea here https://www.garmin.com/en-US/forms/ideas/

Off course notifications however, are a different topic. They should work independent from where you create your course. Are you really sure they work when you create the course in Garmin Connect but not when you create it in Garmin Explore?

Yes, I'm 100% sure. I tested it several times. There is a switcher for that in the Connect app, and there is no that kind of switcher in the Explore app.

The switch is only for the turn notifications, not for the "off course" notifications. These are two completely independent things. 

So both notifications work when I use Garmin Connect and both don't work when I use Garmin Explore. That's weird.

Weird indeed. Turn notifications are written to the course file itself by the software that calculates/creates the course. "Off course" notifications are generated by the watch, when your GPS position deviates a certain distance from the course that you are currently navigating. I don't see a reason why these should not show up when your course comes from Garmin Explore. But Garmin software works in strange ways sometimes... 

After you last answer I restarted my watch and "off course" notification works now, so this one is OK.

But it look like we have to wait for "before turn" notifications.
