Location coordinates not being added to check-in msgs when sending through Explore or Messenger apps. Location on phone is turned on, have excellent GPS signal, the account settings are enabled to include location in SMS,&both apps have location permis

Oddly enough, location coordinates (and map link) are included in the text message when sending a check-in message directly from the inReach Mini 2.

Is there some other setting I'm missing?

Hello 2403806 It sounds like you may not be including location in the messaging section of the app when sending a composed message. Thank you for taking the time to reply but I'm sending a checkin message not a composed message. There is no ability to edit a checkin message...you can only click on one of the three options you wish to send in the apps and I see no location icon on that screen.

As stated in OP, I had already enabled all those settings prior to writing to this forum. Once enabled, location coordinates were then only included when sending the checkin msg directly from my Mini2 but are not included if sending checkin msgs from the Explore/Messenger apps.
