parallel login to garmin explore and connect with different accounts not possible

Hi,

Since many years I have a Garmin Connect account which I use to sync my sport activites with. Over the years I used many different Garmin watches to do so.

Since a couple of days, I have a Garmin Explore Professional Wholesale Account for my new Inreach Mini 2. This is a different mail address being used for login.

my issue now is, that on my android phone it's not possible to login to Garmin Connect with account A and the same time login to Garmin Explore with account B.

e.g. as soon as I login to Connect with account A, it logs out Account B on Explore. On Explore I then have the option to "Continue" with Account A which is being suggested to me and doesn't need a password (because it's cached from the connect app probably) as well as the option to "change account". If I go for the latter, it immediately logs me out in connect again.

does anyone know how to fix that?

I think your only option is to create a separate account on your android device. www.howtogeek.com/.../

In deed this seems to be the only option.

I added all my devices to Account A. This includes the inreach mini which is acutally linked to Account B. inreach is being shown as "guest device". I don't know what that means and need to do some testing to see if there are limitations.

In my new android user account, the only app I use is Explore with the original inreach account.

However, what I find interesting is that the Garmin Messenger app does not have the limitation of user accounts. In this app I can login with whatever account I like without logging out on Explore or Connect.

Let's be honest, that definitely a bug and not a feature of Garmin. Hopefully they fix this someday and especially don't screw it up even more...

I assume that Garmin wants users to use only one account and that's why it was implemented that way.

I am not familiar with the inreach series, but isn't it possible to use the same account as for your other garmin devices?
