Explore keeps asking for phone permissions

Ever since syncing my new InReach Mini 2 I keep getting a message on my phone explore needs permission to access your phone. I click on the message, goes to a manage permissions page, I allow permissions. But I keep getting this message. What does it want?

Same here its very annoying. I cannot even seem to stop the app with force stop.

As I only need app for hiking holidays I may have to remove the app and re install when needed.

You can disable this (or all Garmin Explore) notification in the app settings on Android.
